Week 1, March 5	Course introduction	Bring photo, clear file, prepare self- introduction 3 minutes.  Read and print the documents below. Click here for course info Click here- Self Introduction
Week 2	Questions and comments.  Discussion of rhetoric and its relationship to public speaking.  Body Language, presentation rules and goals.  Interview and introduce a member of the class.  Continue to develop Self- Presentation Speech. Week 3	Present Introduction Speeches	Draft an outlines of a possible informative speech topics. Make sure you take into account the audience for each potential topic. Bring your outlines to class and discuss them. (Bring two copies... one will be handed in to Denise).  Use the form below to help you. Informative Speech
Week 4	We will discuss the reading assignment. We will discuss the assigned speech type topics.  We will watch a speech (DVD). We will explore the range of topics brought to class. We will finalize selections of assigned informative speech topics.	Continue to revise and develop the first assigned informative speech outline. Come to class prepared to deliver the speech informally and to have the speech critiqued. Organize and craft the speech to impart general and specific information in an objective way.
