A new theatre scene is exploding....
Camden Poeple's Theatre- London:
This fourth GroundWork presents 12 professional companies in one non-stop theatre event. It
runs for 6 days, with two different companies a night, making it the largest and most ambitious programme to date.
GroundWork is about
what happens when performance comes first. GroundWork is an independent profit-share programme that platforms new theatre. Launched
in 2005, GroundWork has so far produced work by over 20 theatre companies in 3 week-long events in central London.
GroundWork is funded by Performance Initiative Network, an organisation that supports theatre artists in the creation and production of their work.

Originally set in 17th-century , Bluebeard is the story of a young wife who betrays her aristocratic
husband by opening the door to a forbidden chamber, only to discover the strangled bodies of all of his past wives.
This is a highly physical retelling of Perrault's classic story, performed by Les Planche’s
all-female ensemble. The company has created a dynamic, amorphous style that steers the audience through a wickedly funny
world of horrors and secrets.
